Connecting Global Talent with Industry Leaders

TransUSA is a Cultural Exchange organization specializing in creating internship and practical training programs in the tourism industry. This allows us to offer cross-cultural activities that will expose our program participants to the American society, culture, and institutions while encouraging them to share their own culture and history with the American people.

Our company was founded in 2004 and has grown to become one of the preferred international recruiting partners for numerous U.S. luxury resorts and private country clubs.

TransUSA Exchange

TransUSA has extensive experience in international exchange programs and a thorough knowledge of the United States Department of State regulations governing it. We take pride in the unique and dedicated service that we provide to preserve the integrity and quality of our programs.

TransUSA Exchange

Our goal is to develop and promote diverse cultural exchange programs that ultimately are translated into a personalized and enriching experience for our program participants, their American host organizations, and overseas partners, from the moment they apply and throughout their programs in the U.S.

Employer Testimonials

TransUSA Exchange

"The need for qualified employees is great for our hotel group, and we have been extremely pleased with TransUSA Careers for helping us out during our busy months. The interns and work and travel students we have received has been fantastic. Many of our 12-month Interns show up in our positive hotel guest reviews and our work and travel students have fit in perfectly with our local employees. In the summer of 2016, one of our hotel groups housekeeping staff invited all the work and travel students to their home to throw a going away party, and to show the students how much they will be missed."

Chad Decker, Director of Human Resource, Kahler Hospitality Group

"In 2010, TransUSA Careers established contact and presented their participants to us for review for the first time. Since then we have made numerous offers to her candidate and I am happy to say the company is on my "speed dial" whenever we are ready to welcome another J-1 student. They understand the high service standards we have in place and they work with this in mind when selecting participants for our properties. They have great follow through; their communication is direct and timely; they posses outstanding organizational and interpersonal skills and are a great source of information about the program regulations and rules in general."

Natasha Shevchenko, Human Resource Manager, Fiddler's Creek Foundation and FCC Beach & Yacht, LLC.

"TransUSA Careers has been a key agency in the success of our program. Our representative is very knowledgeable of the program and responds quickly to inquiries. The quality of the candidates has been excellent. The participants arrive well organized, prepared and eager to learn in their position. We are always sad to see the interns leave, as they have done an outstanding job growing as an intern at our resort. TransUSA was always available to assist with issues and guiding appropriate questions to the sponsor agency."

Rebecca Wagner, Recruiting Coordinator-International Programs, Deer Valley Resort

"Over the course of 5 years, I have worked with TransUSA Careers many times. What I find extraordinary is the expeditious way they meet my requests; paying special attention to my desired qualifications. They take the time to pre-qualify students. They recognize that I wish to interview candidates and they work with me and the various representatives in other countries to get the students scheduled and prepared for these interviews; sometimes in very shot time frames. Recruiting J-1's can be tricky as we may lose candidates; TransUSA is quick in presenting qualified replacement candidates."

Amanda Holman, Human Resource Manager, The King and Prince Beach & Golf Resort

"We have had a fantastic working relationship with TransUSA and their recruits. In fact, when we experienced an unforeseen emergency closing this year, due to a fire and flood, TransUSA's feet were immediately on the ground, going to speak with other resorts so that these recruits would be inconvenienced as little as possible in transitioning to a new training site. I also learned at the time that the company does also provide some housing assistance to those in the program, when it is needed. They have been exceptionally easy to work with, and participants we have on board via their company have offered great enrichment to our organization by sharing their culture with our entire team and all our resort guests I certainly would not hesitate to recommend their services to other resorts; and, I have, in fact, done so. They have definitely been one of our favorite partners in hosting the talented and diverse youth that are yearning to gain better future job prospects from their experiences in the U.S. tourist industry. They are always eager and happy to assist their clients in any way; and, they also, all seem quite pleased with their services to them."

Michelle Taylor, Assistant Director of Human Resources, Hilton Marco Island Beach Resort and Spa

"We wish to keep using TransUSA in the future as the students we receive have consistently been by far the best participants I have even been associated with. I am very pleased with TransUSA's communication and professionalism with myself and with all the participants here. They are always easy to reach by phone or email anytime myself one of the participants need anything. The participants they sent to our company have shined and stood out from even our employees here. They are all well liked and well received by all our staff. Even to the point that they have become an extended family. I still keep in touch with all the prior participants and see how well they are developing after leaving us here. I highly recommend TransUSA to anyone considering bringing J1's into their workplace."

Frank Stevelinck, Director of Food & Beverage, Crystal Mountain Resort

"This experience with TransUSA gave me unforgettable moments and the most unforgettable year of my life. Not just to meet new friends but it's an experience with the chance to explore, be yourself and to be an inspiration to the next generation who will have their internship."

"My experience in the USA was overall amazing. The training I had at The King and Prince Beach& Golf Resort extended my knowledge and capabilities as a chef. When they gave me a promotion, it didn't only make me a better leader, but it also developed my confidence in everything that I do. I had no regrets being in the U.S. and it changed my life in many ways imaginable. Thanks to TransUSA for making it possible."

-Louie P.; The King & Prince Resort, Georgia

"Being away from your comfort zone for a year is one of the scariest experience one could ever have, little did I know, coming to the United States will be one of the best experience I ever had in my life. I had my training at Hyatt Regency in Downtown Houston with my roommates Leaster and Nikki, We met a lot of people who taught us how to be a better version of ourselves. The chefs, co-workers and everyone we met gave us all the fun, love and lessons we need. It is so PRICELESS. It was just a dream before, but everything is still not sinking into me. I don't know how to thank everyone who helped me to go where I am right now. But first, I want to thank TransUSA for making my dreams come true easily."

– Chelsea E. ; Hyatt Regency Houston, Texas

"We went to New York to join the Halloween Parade. We walked all around the city and enjoyed it because we saw people with their different, amazing costumes and painted faces. After the parade, we enjoyed the city by going to different bars and we met amazing people who became our friends. I will never forget this night because all the interns were together. This will be the most memorable experience happened during my internship program."

– Masago F.; Greenwich Country Club, Connecticut

"This experience was the best thing to happened to my life and I'll always remember and treasure this. Just want to say thank you for giving me opportunity to experience USA. Dreams really do come true. Thank you TransUSA for helping graduate students like me to experiences like this. Hope that you continue doing this and keep inspiring others! Thank you and I will always be grateful."

- Marjorie S. P.; Sun Valley Resort, Idaho

"I was a J1 here at Playa Largo resort and spa as a Server Assistant. Working here was so awesome! There were a lot of cool people. Sometimes its stressful but it was awesome because we always did teamwork at Sol By The Sea. I have a great team that helps me when I am struggling. I am very blessed to be here. Thanks!"

-Churchille C.; Playa Largo Resort & Spa, Florida Keys

"Being here for 4 months has been one of the greatest experience of my life, I never thought that my job could take me to places like these. Participating in TransUSA careers has been a blast! I get to further enhance my skills as a cook, meet different people and their cultures, but most of all change the way I look at life. Back home I was living inside my comfort zone, like having people cook for me, do my laundry, ask for money. But when I came here it all changed. I became my own man, the captain of my own ship. No one to turn to but myself, I suddenly realized that working in the USA made me grew not just as a professional, but most of all as an individual. And for me being a good and responsible person will take me places as long as I keep a good habit towards things. Being a J1 participant, it opened my eyes to vast opportunities that I've never imagined. But the most important thing about this program is I get to improve my skills and at the same time get to explore this beautiful country which I will cherish for the rest of my life."
